Spare the Air Music Festival and Clean Air Campaign
The Orange County Earthday Festival started in 1994 with modest crowds of only a few hundred in attendance. Within only a few short years, the Orange County Earthday Festival quickly grew to become the biggest Earthday Festival in the United States with crowds of 15,000 to 20,000 people. After the success of the last Earthday Festival in 2005, the promoters took some time off to reflect on their mission and focus on one main environmental cause. After researching different environmental issues facing our earth today, the promoters decided to set their sights on a campaign to promote clean air. Their goal is to promote public awareness of public transportation options, alternative fuels, alternative energies, and global warming.
